NEW DELHI: Around 11% of 9.20 lakh candidates who appeared for the Central Teacher Eligibility Test of 2013 have cleared the exam whose results were declared on Tuesday.
The exam is now mandatory for aspiring school teachers.
The result was in sharp contrast to CTET 2012 (December) results where less than 1% of the aspirants managed to clear. This is the first time the pass percentage for CTET conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Exam has crossed the 10% mark after a continuous dip in performance.
